Biography

Suzanne Weidberg Klein has more than 20 years of experience working on social service program development, implementation, and evaluations. She has dedicated her career to improving the well-being and economic independence of at-risk individuals, families, and communities. As a practitioner, Suzanne serves as assistant director of Round Lake Camp, a summer overnight program for youth with disabilities, where she recently facilitated the transition from a self-contained to an inclusion model program. 

As a consultant, her experience includes research study design, instrument development, qualitative data collection and analysis, program implementation, and formative evaluation. In addition, she has written numerous reports for practitioners and policymakers and provided both evaluation and program-focused technical assistance. Suzanne has worked on projects for local, state, and federal agencies such as the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, NYS Office of Mental Health, the U.S. Departments of Labor, Education, and Health and Human Services. Her recent contributions to the Workplace Center include the development and implementation of a curriculum designed to enhance the role of caregivers in the career development of their children who are in juvenile justice placements or in foster care.

Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University where she majored in Human Development and Family Studies.  She earned her Master of Science from Columbia University School of Social Work where she concentrated on methods for improving the prospects of individuals with barriers to employment.  She lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.  She is an active volunteer in the community, particularly in her children’s public schools, where she opened a school library at PS 151 and served on the School Leadership Team at MS 167. Suzanne loves skiing, hiking, and playing tennis.
