Biography
Chelsea Dock is a Program Coordinator at the Workplace Center, where she supports the implementation of the Young Adult Work Opportunities for Rewarding Career (YA WORC) program within agencies throughout New York City and Los Angeles. She is also responsible for curricula writing and data evaluation, and assists with managing the Workplace Center website.
Prior to joining the Center, Chelsea gained expertise working with children and families made vulnerable by the foster care system, juvenile justice or court involvement, homelessness, immigration barriers, behavioral or mental health challenges, and other traumas. She also received training in and delivered YA WORC to the young adults she served.
Giving birth to her daughter halfway through college, Chelsea was determined to finish school, making the Dean’s List and graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta. She strives to empower young people to become more than a statistic, to envision and achieve the best futures possible for themselves no matter the odds. Chelsea is a classically trained pianist, certified personal trainer, dog owner, and lover of nature and the arts.
